Appayon is a Bengali word which means inviting and serving food to people with utmost respect. It is a community kitchen with the motto “No one sleeps hungry”. Our initiative intends to invite and serve food to people with utmost respect, treating people with utmost respect, treating the people as our own and facilitating them to the best of our capabilities. We have set it up in our school premises where our volunteers cook a day meal for anyone and everyone who wants a healthy and fulfilling meal. Four times each week, we serve around 100 people. We invite them to our space and treat them to a freshly cooked meal free of cost. We look forward to continuing our efforts to support those in need and make a positive impact on the community by raising awareness among the population to ensure equal access to the food supply chain and achieve the goal of eradicating hunger from Bangladesh.
