Our participation

Bringing coastal Bangladesh to the global land agenda.

OBHIZATRIK Foundation will participate in COP17 of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD), taking place in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia from 17 to 28 August 2026, as an accredited observer organization.

From the islands of the Meghna River Basin to the global stage, we are carrying the voice of coastal Bangladesh, where rising salinity, river erosion and cyclones are reshaping land and lives every day.

In partnership with IUCN, we are taking part in two side events at COP17.
