Amar Dawat (Food Hanger) stands as a remarkable social inclusion project undertaken by Daraz Bangladesh Ltd., in close collaboration with the OBHIZATRIK Foundation, aiming to effectively combat hunger and alleviate the distress experienced by underprivileged individuals across Bangladesh. This visionary initiative serves as an inclusive platform, unifying individuals from diverse economic backgrounds, and addressing their immediate snacking needs at any given moment. Amar Dawat project has exhibited commendable success, operating seamlessly across 30 meticulously chosen tea stalls for an extended period. Our unwavering commitment lies in ensuring that the basic human right to sustenance is fulfilled, sparing no effort within our capabilities.
Strategically positioned in key locations such as Mirpur, Mohakhali, Dhanmondi, Tejgaon, Mohammadpur, Niketon, Nikunjo, Banani, Shahjadpur, Asadgate, Kuril, and Lalmatia, the project’s designated tea stall locations were meticulously curated. Recent expansions have further extended the project’s reach, embracing new establishments in Jafrabad, Khilgaon Taltola, Rampura, College Gate, Gulshan, and Kathalbagan. A stringent monitoring regime has been implemented, ensuring the seamless functioning of these establishments, with regular oversight occurring three days a week.
Bangladesh has been grappling with the persistent crisis of hunger, with a significant segment of the population mired in the harsh realities of food insecurity, unable to meet even the most rudimentary dietary requirements essential for survival. Our primary focus remains on empowering and aiding these disadvantaged individuals who face the perpetual stress of inadequate access to sustenance. Amar Dawat epitomizes the very essence of social inclusion, fortified by its pragmatic approach, which emphasizes simplification and fosters a culture of transparency and accountability.
Through this visionary project, we aspire to effect substantial change in the lives of those who find themselves marginalized, providing them with the essential nourishment they so desperately need, and fostering a society that embraces inclusivity in its truest form.
প্রতিদিন ঢাকার ৩০ টি দোকান থেকে বিনামূল্যে একটি রুটি, একটি কলা এবং এক কাপ চা যে কেউ সংগ্রহ করতে পারে। প্রতি মাসে ৯ হাজার মানুষ বিনামূল্যে এই খাদ্য সংগ্রহ করছে। গত এক বছরে এই প্রকল্পের মাধ্যমে প্রায় ১.৮ লক্ষের অধিক মানুষ সহযোগিতা পেয়েছে। দারাজ বাংলাদেশের সহযোগিতায় এই প্রকল্প চলমান। এই প্রকল্পে যে কেউ চাইলে অনুদান ও প্রেরন করতে পারেন।
