The “Partners for Prosperity (PFP)” project, designed to empower youth-led organizations to tackle community issues directly through financial support, marked the successful completion of its first year with a closing ceremony held yesterday at the Conference Hall of the Dhaka District Commissioner’s Office.
The primary objective of the PFP initiative was to provide direct cash grants to youth organizations engaged in social development, enabling them to work on solving local problems in their own communities with autonomy and innovation.
The event was graced by the presence of Mr. Tanvir Ahmed, the Honorable Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate of Dhaka as the Chief Guest. Special guests included Ms. Razia Sultana, Assistant Commissioner and Executive Magistrate & Mr. Ahmad Imtiaz Jami, Founder and President of OBHIZATRIK Foundation.
The program began with a reflection on the key achievements of the first year. Representatives from the beneficiary youth organizations shared their experiences, highlighting how the support they received helped them move closer to fulfilling their missions and create real impact in their communities.
Discussions during the event emphasized the power of youth leadership and the importance of enabling young changemakers to take initiative in solving societal issues. The project has not only provided financial assistance but also served as a platform for young people to take responsibility and lead transformative efforts in their localities.
During the ceremony, it was also announced that the second phase of the PFP project will commence this July. Applications from new youth organizations will soon be invited online, offering younger changemakers the opportunity to participate in the initiative.
