The “FIFA Foundation Community Program” beginning first time in Bangladesh with OBHIZATRIK Foundation. The soft launching of “Playing for Peace: Empowering Dreams through Soccer” took place today in Conference Hall at District Commissioners Office, Dhaka. OBHIZATRIK Foundation targets over 1,000 children of Dhaka city through football training & tournaments for two years.

Today in the inception program the Chief Guest was Tanvir Ahmed, Deputy Commissioner & District Magistrate Dhaka. In addition, Razia Sultana, Assistant Commissioner & Executive Magistrate & Ahmed Imtiaz Jami, Founder & President of OBHIZATRIK Foundation was also present.

The program started with the two years long program details, the idea, objective & goals. A brief presentation was presented by the Founder & Executive Director of OBHIZATRIK Foundation, Ahmed Imtiaz Jami. He expressed great enthusiasm for the project, stating that it is a matter of pride and honor for OBHIZATRIK Foundation to be collaborating with the FIFA Foundation for the first time in Bangladesh. Prior to this, the FIFA Foundation Community Program was implemented in 57 countries worldwide. “Sports can create harmony so let’s play football, let’s play for peace”, said Ahmed Imtiaz Jami.

DC Dhaka has expressed his gratitude and all support for the structured football activities and educational workshops through this program. Tanvir Ahmed, Deputy Commissioner said that “I am proud to see OBHIZATRIK Foundation and FIFA Foundation coming together to transform a playground into a platform for peace”. “I truly believe ‘Playing for Peace’ can bring lasting social impact to the underprivileged communities”, said Razia Sultana, Assistant Commissioner & Executive Magistrate. In addition, Md. Badiuzzaman Al-amin, Founder & Secretary of Bangladesh Para Football Federation said, “In the underprivileged communities, professional sports training is rare especially for disabled children. We’re glad OBHIZATRIK is making it possible.”

Following the presentation, a brief question-and-answer session was held where schoolteachers and coaches engaged in an open discussion about the program’s goals and implementation. The event concluded with a group photo featuring the young participants proudly holding the FIFA Foundation flag and football, symbolizing the spirit of the game.
