In an era where environmental conservation has become an urgent global priority, the OBHIZATRIK Foundation stands at the forefront of change, championing sustainable practices that resonate with communities worldwide. One of our most ambitious endeavors is the Waste Management Campaign, an initiative aimed at revolutionizing the way we perceive and handle waste. This campaign embodies our commitment to a cleaner, healthier planet for generations to come.
On 11 & 12 September, the OBHIZATRIK Foundation organized a waste management workshop in OBHIZATRIK school, Rupnagar Adarsha school and M.I model school. In the workshop, students learned the impact of waste on the environment, techniques for categorizing different types of waste materials, how to use dustbins properly, benefits of recycling materials.
We introduced two types of dustbins to them. One for recycled items and one for biodegradable waste. Students have learned about the negative effects that inappropriate waste management has on both humans and the environment as a result of the campaign. They are inspired to take action because they now see the broad impacts that garbage has on our communities and the environment. Effective recycling is one of the hands-on abilities that students have learned. They now know how to separate trash, identify recycling icons, and They are more able to help reduce the amount of waste transferred to waste dumps because of this practical example of our expertise.
Participating in waste management activities teaches students personal responsibility for their waste and the importance of properly disposing of it. They can also learn about the consequences of littering and illegal dumping. Through our campaign, students learned about the link between waste management and public health. Why proper waste disposal helps prevent the spread of diseases and maintains a clean and safe living environment.
